Privacy
Common Inquiry writes about informed consent, so it asks for none: reading here involves no account, comment, newsletter, advert, affiliate tracker, analytics tool or cookie.
What is collected
- By Common Inquiry: nothing. The journal's pages are static files; there are no tracking scripts and no audience figures.
- By the hosting provider: Cloudflare carries the journal to your browser and keeps routine technical records of each request (IP address, time, page) for delivery and protection against attacks. The legal notice gives its address.
Fonts and images
Alegreya and Work Sans, both under the SIL Open Font License, are stored with Common Inquiry and load from its own address, so no request reaches Google Fonts or any other font service. Photographs of workshops, meetings and neighbourhoods live here too, with none fetched from elsewhere; the photo credits page traces each one.
No third-party services
Even the article on participatory mapping embeds no live map: Common Inquiry contains no embedded maps, videos, social buttons, comment systems, forms or advertising scripts.
Links to other sites
References point to research funders, universities, public agencies and bodies such as UNESCO and the WHO, so you can check each source. The links are free of tracking or affiliate codes, and the organisations behind them apply their own privacy policies.
